HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007

HAPPY VIETNAMESE "Tet"Days

(Lunar New Year 17 Feb. 2007)

I wish you an excellent New Year filled with joy and success.

TRAVELLING THROUGH OAXACA, CHIAPAS, TABASCO, CAMPECHE YUCATAN ___________

For almost three weeks in January (2007) I was in Mexico. This time I have been travelling from Mexico City by the road, through several states, 2500 km, down to Yucatan in the South, visiting many wonderful places, meeting with people from really different backgrounds.

Agua Azul, near Palenque is a place to dream while San Cristobal de las Casas (Chiapas) is a paradise to live if you love high mountains with clouds around, splendid large buildings among colorful narrow streets of legendary city (1528), nice tearooms, modern internet cafe's, quiet people, and ... fabulous foods.

Palenque is a small town. That evening I was completely absorbed by the magical flute played by a man like an angel coming from nowhere. I was very happy sitting there enjoying the magical music. But then I got lost at night. Impossible to find the way back to my hotel, a small, cheap, no name hotel!

I'm very happy to know that there is a blog of Master Phan Hoang.
It's interesting to see a martial art master who is not only expert in the martial art field but also a successful academic university professor as well.
But the most important aspect is that master Phan Hoang has brought martial art to a higher level and as a cursus in university.
I wish he may continue to share his vast experience with all martial art students and non- martial art practitioners as what he puts forward are human values, a way to have peace of mind, good health and most important: be happy.
